I started Gîte Lab because I’ve spent the better part of fifteen years helping holiday rental businesses across France do better — and I got tired of watching great properties undersell themselves.

Since 2009 I’ve worked with owners of properties of all kinds, from intimate chambres d’hôtes to sprawling château estates, and I’ve built up a pretty clear picture of what works, what doesn’t, and where most owners are leaving money on the table.

Before moving to France I rented properties and worked in the hospitality sector in the UK. That’s why we now operate in the UK too — the challenges I’ve seen in France are just as relevant across the Channel.

My wife and I run our own gîte, Les Papillons, and we’re proud to have high occupancy year after year — not through luck, but through the same principles I now bring to every client I work with.
